Princess Elsa
the frozen theme
This one is as magical as the movie character herself with a flowing dress and peeking-leg style cake.
We used a Frozen princess doll and we dressed her with chocolate cake from the waist down. After covering the cake with fondant, we give it an illusion of movement by layering strips of fondant to capture the dramatic scene of the movie. To finish the cake, we added a few fondant snowflakes, fondant shoe, and covered the entire cake with luster dust to make it sparkle.
For the grand presentation, we had princess Elsa stand on "ice" using blue sugar candy. We accented it with giant marshmallows, white icing and sharp "ice shards" to mimic cold snow and the build up icicles.
The cold never bothered her anyway....
